We are excited to announce that our recently completed retail renovation project for Building B of Hangzhou Tower has been awarded the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Global Excellence Award 2023 in the category of Public Space and Commercial lobbies.
The year 2023 marks the 14th edition of the Global Excellence Design Awards organized by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) in the United States. IIDA hosts several interior design competitions annually, and the Global Excellence Design Awards is one of them. This award program consists of 15 competition categories, aiming to recognize outstanding and highly creative interior design projects on a global scale.
This award is a recognition and acknowledgment of the quality of our design. We will continue to adhere to the principles of healthy, humane, and Happy design (3H design principles), striving to bring more award-winning projects to our clients.
The Winners’ Celebration is scheduled for February 17 2024 in Paris. All winners will be celebrated and presented with awards AND the Best of Competition will be revealed at the Winner’s Celebration! The Winner gallery has also been published on iida.org.

About Chief Designer
Ms. Zhu obtained a Master's degree in Interior Design from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2005.She has over 20 years of experience in the field of interior design, with a diverse background in various projects ranging from office spaces, commercial areas to early childhood education facilities. She emphasizes cross-disciplinary thinking and applies it extensively in her projects, making creative breakthroughs accordingly. Prior to founding DUSTUDIO , Ms. Zhu worked for internationally renowned companies such as Benoy and Nbbi, where she designed and managed numerous high-profile commercial, retail, and office projects. She has been involved in leading the design of projects including Microsoft Beijing Headquarters, Suning Nanjing Headquarters, Hangzhou Building 501 Plaza, Baiyulan Plaza, and AliCenter (Shanghai Hongqiao)， Arch walk and Yango city tangzhen shanghai etc. Commercial Complex.
Since the establishment of DU STUDIO in 2017, her works have been featured in international media and received international awards. These include CR8 Guangzhou Times Square, Yutong Automobile Headquarters, Zhonghua Enterprise Century Financial Plaza, NYC Children's Club, and Shanghai Proswim Swimming School, among others. The design works have received positive reviews in international design media such as Dezeen (UK), Interior Design (USA), Archdaily, and Frame (Netherlands), and have won multiple domestic and international awards, including the World Architecture Festival (WAF), Interior Design Best of Year (USA), iF Design Award (Germany), and China Huading Award Gold Prize.
Ms. Zhu Ping is also one of the first LEED AP professionals in China. From the beginning of DU Studio, she established the 3H design principles: Healthy, Humane, and Happy. In practice, she helps clients achieve their design visions while adhering to these principles and constantly surpassing industry standards.
At the same time, Ms. Zhu Ping values practical experience, research, and acaemic collaboration. She serves as a part-time lecturer at the SFC International Fashion Creative College of Donghua University, sharing her experience and imparting knowledge in practice.
