DU Studio is honored to partner with Regal Hotels Holdings Limited in the development of Zhi Fu Times Center, a mixed-use commercial complex located in Chengdu’s northern Xindu District. Situated at the intersection of Xindu Avenue and Xingle Road, adjacent to Chengdu Medical College Station on Metro Line 3, the project is an integral part of the Regal International Xindu Plaza, a landmark development in the region. The complex spans a total area of 260,000 square meters, encompassing 100,000 square meters of commercial space, 60,000 square meters of hotel facilities, and 100,000 square meters of residential apartments.

Regal Hotels Holdings Limited, established in 1980, is a key subsidiary of Hong Kong’s Century City Holdings Limited and a significant entity among listed companies such as Paliburg Holdings Limited and Regal Real Estate Investment Trust. Its core businesses include real estate development, hotel management, and construction. As a leading representative of the group’s real estate and hospitality operations, Regal Hotels Holdings Limited is recognized as one of Hong Kong’s largest international hotel chains. DU Studio is privileged to be entrusted with this collaboration to create a vibrant commercial center.

Northern Chengdu, as a gateway for the Greater Chengdu region’s urban expansion, has emerged as a dynamic hub integrating government administration, business, education, and residential functions. The project’s primary demographic includes local residents and university students from the surrounding area. The commercial component of the development comprises six above-ground floors, three underground levels, and a dedicated shopping street. Despite its completion over a decade ago, the commercial portion has yet to commence operations, presenting a unique opportunity for revitalization.

In the context of Chengdu’s highly competitive commercial landscape, distinguishing this project while effectively catering to the needs of the surrounding community is a formidable challenge. DU Studio, as the lead commercial design consultant, will reimagine and optimize the project's interior and exterior spaces, ensuring seamless integration between commercial areas, residential apartments, and the hotel. The goal is to transform the site into a contemporary, sustainable, engaging, and community-oriented commercial destination.
