NYC KIDS CLUB, CHANGSHA

This is an early learning center for the NYC Kids Club ，Changsha. It has four types of classrooms, including music, gym, dance, and cooking. The design concept is the tangram, a popular children's toy in China. The idea is to borrow the flexible combination concept of the tangram to make each room a fun and interactive toy that can be combined. For example, the music classroom is conceptually designed as a large instrument, with speakers inserted into the walls of the music classroom to make sound. Children can hear what is happening in the music room.

The space is high, and we have designed a mezzanine as a playground, connected to the first floor by a rainbow spiral staircase. A small orange house sits directly above it, attracting children to explore. Five exploration corners are distributed around the space to enhance the center's play-based educational approach.
