This office complex designed by EID is located at Huangpu river in Shanghai Pudong side . It is opposite to the old 80,000-ton silo warehouse. The modern sense of the office building contrasts strongly with the weathered warehouse.
When the interior began, we wanted to find a feeling to express the conflict between the time and space around site.
The interior extends the architecture tone and language into the interior. Black Lava stone is chosen to be the core cladding material as the calm background indicating the historical barn at waterfront. Two huge lighting boxes are hung to address the entry of the lift lobby, making a strong contrast with the sturdy stone.
In the left chamber, the shape of granary in barrel-type has inspired us in a way that vaious color of braze tube on column to be applied onto the wall layer by layer, which features the details and quality out of the elegency of the lobby.
The reception desk wrapped by a layer of branze with sanding and anti-polishing finishing is a design purpose on balancing warmness within a still indoor space in order to bring welcoming in.
The standard floor is reletively simply. Lighting glass box wall with matte Monaco grey stone always leave the feeling of warm business and simple nature.
