Following the successful renovation of 4F High-End Customization Area and the B1 Member Center at Hangzhou Tower B, DU Studio has successfully completed the design and renovation of the 2F/3F restrooms, which underwent final acceptance recentlly. The design continues the attention to detail and privacy principles of the restrooms on the 4th floor, centering on the philosophy of "Luxury Quality and Comfortable Experience." By integrating Chinese elements with contemporary design techniques in a modern context, the project strikes a balance between Eastern and Western aesthetics, aligning seamlessly with the premium positioning of a luxury shopping mall.
Design Philosophy: A Contemporary Expression of Minimalist Aesthetics
Cultural and Stylistic Harmony: The design seamlessly integrates regional cultural elements while maintaining harmony with the Western luxury ambiance of the building.
Elevated Spatial Experience: Focusing on maximizing privacy and convenience within limited floor space, the renovation transcends the conventional functional boundaries of the shopping mall restrooms to redefine the standards of comfort and user experience.
Entrance: Materials Set the Tone
The entrance walls are crafted from Moroccan travertine, whose natural pitted textures exude both an antique charm and refined elegance. Installed vertically, the stone creates a guiding visual flow, subtly directing visitors into the space.

Washbasin: Balancing Functionality and Aesthetics
Material Itegrety: The walls are clad in Silk Road Cream marble, framed with brushed stainless steel accents, while the floor features matching Silk Road Cream stone tiles. The warm color palette reinforces the overall design ethos, creating a cohesive visual language.
Customized Design: Inspired by the patterns of traditional Chinese doors and windows, the vanity mirrors blend heritage with modernity. Each basin is crafted from cream marble with softly rounded edges, while the countertop integrates discreet yet functional elements: concealed smartphone holders, hidden tissue dispensers and soap dispensers. Push-out trash bins ensure a clutter-free aesthetic, maintaining the elegance of the space.

Toilet Stall: Prioritizing Privacy and Comfort
Materials: the Brushed stainless steel partitions create a sense of visual continuity through their distinctive texture and luster, expanding the perceived spatial dimensions while adding depth and dimensionality to the environment.
Lighting: A layered lighting scheme combines recessed spotlights, ceiling cove lighting, and wall-mounted sconces to create a soft and ambient glow. Frosted glass fixtures on the wall sconces diffuse light, producing a subtle, ethereal effect that enhances privacy without compromising comfort.

The renovation is not merely a functional upgrade but a redefinition of "luxury experience" — the restroom is no longer a purely utilitarian space, but a "hidden haven of luxury" within Hangzhou Tower's luxury ecosystem. The clean lines of Oriental aesthetics, the fine craftsmanship of modern materials and human-centric functional design converge to create an intimate space that aligns with Hangzhou Tower’s high-luxury positioning. Here, comfort in every detail becomes an extension of the luxurious experience, transforming everyday utility into a discreet yet sophisticated indulgence.
