CHINA ENTERPRISE FORTUNE CENTURY TOWER

The China Enterprise FORTUNE Century Building is the core of the urban renewal project in Block E15-3 of the Minsheng Pier in Pudong, Shanghai. This approximately 40,000 square meter modern high-rise is located across from the 80,000 ton grain silo, which was once the largest in Asia at the Minsheng Pier. The giant concrete silo bears a unique industrial mark on the city, with wild colors and forms becoming a strong visual element on the riverbank. On the south side of the building is a villa garden designed by the early British merchant firm, E.H. Wilson & Co. The surrounding buildings and environment's dominant and contradictory nature determined the project's uniqueness. Faced with the mixed urban environment of old and new buildings, the architecture tells a story of urban time and space overlapping and integrating in a restrained and calm manner. The interior design continues and expresses the contradictory collision of time and space around the building site, forming a dialogue of equal strength between the interior and exterior.

The interior design closely extends the language and cool tone of the square box of the building to the interior. The lobby uses volcanic stone as a background, which is calm and generous. The copper reception desk adds a warm and welcoming atmosphere to the lobby. The grain silo's cylindrical shape inspires the interior, and in the elevator hall, copper pipes are applied to the walls, bringing some special details and texture to the simple lobby.
